Engaging with That Which is Larger than Ourselves 

Osotspa upholds a policy of political neutrality and operates independently under a governance framework clearly defined in the Company’s Code of Conduct and Anti-Corruption Guidelines, as disclosed in the Corporate Governance section of this Report. The Company does not provide financial support, donations, or engagement with any political party, nor does it participate in activities that could create an impression of political involvement. In 2024, the Company made no contributions or spending related to political activities or political organizations. In addition, Osotspa did not incur any spending on lobbying, interest representation or similar activities, nor on ballot measures or referendums.

Furthermore, the Company has established a governance framework for public policy engagement with clear accountabilities up to the executive level. This framework ensures that participation in trade associations and external organizations is consistent with Osotspa’s sustainability commitments and climate change objectives. In cases where misalignments are identified between the climate policy positions of trade associations and the Company’s own climate position, Osotspa will review and take appropriate actions to address such discrepancies. The Company is also committed to transparent reporting on climate policy positions and activities of trade associations. This program applies across all jurisdictions where Osotspa operates, reinforcing the Company’s commitment to constructive engagement with trade associations in alignment with principles of good governance, transparency, and sustainable growth.

Performance Highlights

Osotspa believes that the business sector could contribute tremendously to sustainability advancement in the industry through its participation in regulatory advocacy, which in turn can enhance Thailand’s competitive edge in the international market. Supporting the development of policies, laws, and regulations with an emphasis on sustainability is a social responsibility that the Company proudly commits to. We actively engage with various industries and trade associations to foster sustainable and transparent development. Osotspa also supports activities as a member of the organizations and external associations listed below.

Consumer Health and Well-being

The Company works closely with non-alcoholic beverage and energy drink producers who are stakeholders in the industry, as well as with relevant public and private agencies. Beyond the primary objective of promoting industry growth, the Company is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of consumers. The shared goal is to reduce sugar and sodium content while increasing nutritional value and beneficial ingredients for consumers.

Sustainable Packaging
  • Thailand Institute of Packaging and Recycling Management for Sustainable Environment (TIPMSE)

The Thailand Institute of Packaging and Recycling Management for Sustainable Environment (TIPMSE) was established with the aim of promoting the separation of used packaging from waste to reduce the amount of used packaging in waste nationwide. The Company joined the alliance to promote proper management systems for used packaging and recyclable materials.

This is achieved via participation in the take-back program under the concept of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) to enhance the accuracy of the national database for developing measures and regulations for sustainable waste management. This aligns with the plan to bring Thailand’s development under the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) Economy Model in 2021-2027.

Energy and Climate Management
  • Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO)

The organization promotes approaches and standards for creating greenhouse gas inventories, carbon pricing mechanisms, and pathways for greenhouse gas reduction projects, including the use of carbon credits in Thailand. This includes the use of economic tools to mitigate the impacts of climate change, such as carbon pricing, domestic carbon taxation, and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Osotspa has participated in engagement activities and public hearings with relevant agencies and has joined the Thailand Carbon Neutral Network (TCNN) since 2023. Additionally, Osotspa was invited by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) to attend a focus group for the industrial sector under the Thailand CCUS Alliance (TCCA). This alliance promotes the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the industrial sector.
