Osotspa’s Compliance with Nutrition Regulations and Nutritional Standards

Osotspa complies with nutrition-related regulations in each country where it operates, ensuring all product formulations and labeling align with local dietary standards. The company employs a nutrient profiling system based on the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) of each respective country. RDI refers to the daily recommended amounts of nutrients such as vitamins, energy, and minerals that support overall health and help prevent nutritional deficiencies.

This nutrient-based approach is widely used in the food and beverage industry to communicate the nutritional value of a product — specifically, what percentage of the RDI a serving of the product provides

In addition, the company refers to the Codex Alimentarius, an international food standard developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as a guideline for ensuring food safety and nutritional value in its products. This alignment ensures that the company’s products comply with globally recognized best practices in food safety and nutrition.

The Codex guidelines are applied in several key areas, including:

  • Regulation of sugar and sodium content, to ensure levels are appropriate and safe for health.
  • Use of food additives, such as sweeteners, colors, and preservatives, in accordance with the Codex General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA), which defines the types and maximum permissible levels of additives.
  • Nutritional labeling, based on Codex standards to ensure transparent, accurate, and consumer-friendly communication of nutritional information.

In addition to legal compliance, Osotspa applies recognized nutritional quality standards set by independent organizations and regulatory authorities to evaluate the health profile of its beverage products:

  • For functional drinks, the company follows the Healthier Choice Logo (HCL) criteria issued by the Ministry of Public Health (Thailand).
  • For energy drinks (e.g., M-150, Lipo, Shark) and supplement products (e.g., C-Vitt, Peptein, Peptein Good Night), RDI values are used as the primary benchmark to guide formulation and labeling, supporting consumer awareness of nutrient content.

This approach ensures transparency, supports consumer health, and aligns with Osotspa’s commitment to responsible product development.

Health and Nutrition Advisory Panel

Osotspa operates a Health and Nutrition Advisory Panel to support our mission of promoting health and wellbeing in Thailand and globally, reflecting our Thai heritage and expertise in Asian health practices.

The Panel meets at least annually to:

  • Provide guidance on the company’s Health and Nutrition Policy, advocacy, and communications, based on the latest science and aligned with national and international standards.
  • Advise R&D on product innovation strategy and development.
  • Share insights on science, technology, market trends, consumer behavior, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with companies, academics, and government agencies to exchange knowledge.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of health and nutrition internally and externally via company communication channels.

Panel members are specialists in food and beverage science, nutrition, regulatory affairs, and communications, providing expertise relevant to Osotspa’s branded products.

    • M-150 Yellow Cap (10 THB) provides an affordable option for daily energy needs, ensuring accessibility to low-income consumers across Thailand.
  • Functional Beverages for Targeted Health Enhancement:

    • C-Vitt – high in Vitamin C, supporting normal immune system function for consumers who prioritize overall health.
    • C-Vitt Plus Collagen – contains both Vitamin C and collagen for consumers looking to supplement these nutrients in their daily routine.
    • Peptein Goodnight – enriched with GABA and L-theanine, supporting restful sleep and refreshed mornings.

R&D investment to improve nutrition

Osotspa has invested in research and development to enhance the nutritional profile of its products:

  • M-Sport – reformulated to reduce sugar content from 7.5g to 4.6g per serving.
  • C-Vitt Plus Collagen – enriched with 1,000 mg of Vitamin C in the supplement product line to support daily nutrient intake.
  • C-Vitt range – all six variants have been developed as supplement products to provide targeted nutritional benefits.
